Sharing family photos with friends & family near and far is a meaningful way to connect, but I am not photographing your family for “today”; instead, I firmly believe a family portrait is an investment that gains tremendous value over time.
Your family legacy will outlast the ever changing tides of technology, which is why each session leads to a custom designed album, and my full-service offerings also include artwork for your walls and archival-quality prints for extended family gifts.
Your session can take place in the comfort of your home (a great option to incorporate furry family members!) or in a beautiful location of our collaborative choosing. During the session I provide full direction with prompts that create natural moments and interactions. The laughs that erupt when I tell you to turn and stick your tongue out at your neighbor means the next photo I take, “the shot of everyone looking nice” for your Christmas card, is beaming with genuine smiles.
These sessions are designed for landmarks and generational reunions and are an investment often suited to a rhythm to be booked every 3-5 years. In between the eras, I offer seasonal mini-session events for quick updates for your holiday greeting card and to book throughout the year to reflect how quickly your littles are changing in the first few years of their life!

For a natural look (and less stress to coordinate!) think in color palettes vs. everyone “matching.”
Great combinations are greens & blues, reds & ambers, etc with a strong foundation of neutrals which include navy and grey!

If you want photos of your baby swaddled in a tiny bundle, it is best to schedule photos within the first couple weeks after they’re born. That being said, we will absolutely get beautiful photos of you holding them and their tiny features beyond those first couple week — they’re just extra sleepy and squishy at first.

I usually wait to make a day-of decision to reschedule for the most reliable forecasting.
That said, for the adventurous family, if you want to throw on your wellies and jump in puddles that sounds like the making of a fantastically fun and memorable session to me too. :)

Senior Portraits
A senior photo session mark a new era, your son or daughter taking new steps of independence, and it bookend the newborn session that seems like it happed just yesterday. These sessions are a celebration, creative collaboration, and empowering experience (perhaps especially for the teen who feels awkward in their skin). Each session is fully customized to showcase whatever lights them up; arts, sports, academics, nature, pets, etc — I’m excited to tailor their session to this chapter of their life while also creating timeless portraits to complement the photos from through the years.
Yearbook image resizing is included for the selection of your choice to match your school’s specifications.
As with all my family portraits, each session leads to the creation of custom designed albums so you have a tangible time capsule to tell part of your son’s or daughter’s history. Pricing / Packages are the same as the family portraits listed above.

I provide an opaque changing tube or you can change in your car and we can block windows with reflectors, whichever is more comfortable for you!

This is entirely personal preference, but added styling can be a great way to relieve some day-of stress.
Whether your senior styles themself or you hire a professional, they should feel like polished versions of themselves (not a time to experiment!).

I will wait until the morning of your scheduled session date so we’re making a call based on the most reliable forecast possible. If it looks like your shoot is going to be washed out, we will simply reschedule (at no additional cost).

After you select your favorite images from your online gallery of proofs, they will be polished with detailed attention to remove stray hairs, facial blemishes, background distractions etc so the focus is on YOU feeling fantastic.
More in-depth editing requests such as braces removal may be available for additional fees.
Celebrations
Family celebrations — from bridal or baby showers, reunions, milestone birthdays or anniversaries — are moments to savor time with your family and friends who may not have seen each other in years. Give yourself the gift of being fully present with your loved ones, away from your phone, and allow me to artfully capture every detail for you. Candids of hugs and laughter, décor, toasts, and group photos will all tell the story of your occasion so you can preserve and share the memories.
